The following parent resource information is provided to all parents whose baby's have been nursed on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or Transitional care unit, to promote and ensure both infants and families are kept safe following their discharge home.

- Bliss Resuscitation
Having resuscitation training can help you be more prepared to care for your premature or sick baby after leaving the neonatal unit, we ask all parents who have had a baby on the neonatal unit to watch the video prior to discharge.

Safer sleep for babies, Support for families
The Lullaby Trust (lullabytrust.org.uk)
The Lullaby Trust raises awareness of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), provides expert advice on safer sleep for babies and offers emotional support for bereaved families
It is our responsibility here on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to ensure you are fully informed regarding all aspects of how to keep your baby safe whilst they sleep.
We will carry out Safer Sleep Assessments in partnetrship with you when:
- Your baby goes from being nursed in an Incubator to a Cot
- Prior to your baby being discharged home
- During your first visit with the Neonatal Outreach Team and updated periodically throughout your time under the Neonatal Outreach Team
