What do I do if I cannot attend my appointment?
If you are unable to attend your appointment or need to change it to a more suitable date and time, it is important to let us know as soon as possible. This will enable us to offer your appointment to another patient and rebook you another at a more convenient time.
The easiest way to change your appointment is via our online booking form (can we insert here the attached form in the email which, when submitted will go to out OP email account)

- Gynaecology Booking Team on 01772 524403 (Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm excluding bank and public holidays)
- Orthopaedic Booking Team on 01257 247674 (Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm excluding bank and public holidays)
If you need to cancel or change a new patient appointment booked through the electronic booking system called NHS e-referral you need to contact the Referral Management Centre on 01772 325100 or the national telephone appointment line on 0345 6088 8888 between 8am to 8pm weekdays, and 8am to 4pm weekends and Bank Holidays. The appointment line is closed on Christmas Day.
Please note that successive patient cancellation requests may result in you being discharged back to your GP or referrer.
What happens if I fail to attend my appointment?
It is important that you attend your appointment for your health and wellbeing. If you fail to attend and have not told us, your hospital doctor will review your case notes and decide if a further appointment is required, or you may be discharged back to the care of your GP.
