Please be aware that as per the guidance on finance and contracting arrangements for H1 2021/22, the block payments approach for arrangements between NHS commissioners and NHS providers in England will now remain in place for the first half of the 2021/22 financial year. Block payments to NHS providers are deemed to include CQUIN, and there will be no 2021/22 CQUIN scheme (either CCG or specialised) published at this stage.
CQUIN
The Commissioning for Quality and Innovation (CQUINs) payments framework encourages care providers to share and continually improve how care is delivered and to achieve transparency and overall improvement in healthcare. The CQUIN framework supports improvements in the quality of services and the creation of new, improved patterns of care.
