Miss Shazia Hafiz is a consultant specializing in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery, contributing her expertise to the exceptional team at the Central Lancashire Breast unit. She is a Breast Cancer Surgeon and performs cancer surgery alongside complex breast reconstruction operations
With an academic background, including a Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Manchester, she has dedicated her career to delivering surgical excellence. Her exceptional skills and knowledge have earned her a Masters with Distinction in Surgical Practice and Fellowship (FRCS) of the Royal College of Surgeons (England).
In addition to her surgical achievements, Shazia actively engages in medical leadership and education. She has demonstrated her strong leadership capabilities by chairing leadership schools, establishing national doctor training programs in collaboration with Health Education England (HEE), and serving on the council board for the Association of Surgeons in Training (ASiT). Shazia’s commitment to medical education and leadership is further exemplified by her qualifications in Medical Education and Medical Leadership. Miss Hafiz also treats breast cancer patients and has written research papers within the field of breast surgery.
