Contact number: 01257 245656 Both endoscopy units are Joint Advisory Group (JAG) accredited. JAG accreditation demonstrates that we achieve a high quality and safe service ensuring excellent patient experience. Accreditation allows our Trust to complete procedures for the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme for those between 60-74 years, and the Bowel Scope Screening for those of 55 years of age to remove polyps from the colon, help prevent bowel cancer and also detect asymptomatic cancers to improve outcomes. We complete a range of endoscopic procedures; gastroscopy, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, bronchoscopy, ERCP and EUS. We provide a range of breath tests including for bacterial overgrowth, lactose intolerance and helicobacter pylori. The Royal Preston Endoscopy unit is located on Burgundy Street. This unit is open Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm, with late evening sessions every Tuesday and alternate Wednesday until 9pm. At the weekend the unit is open from 8am – 1pm. The Chorley Hospital unit is located on level 3. This unit is open Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm, with late evenings Monday and Wednesday unit 9pm. There is also a service run frequently on a Saturday and Sunday undertaken by agency staff. As we continuously strive to provide an excellent service to our patients, patient feedback is paramount.
