We are delighted to launch our new Green Plan for 2025-2028, which builds on our first Green Plan, which was launched in 2022.
Our new Green Plan was officially launched today at Royal Preston Hospital. Our Sustainability Team were joined by Chief People Officer, Neil Pease and Director of Corporate Affairs, Jennifer Foote, who popped along to Charters Restaurant to show their support for the launch of our new Plan for 2025-2028.
The Green Plan 2025-2028 builds on the brilliant work already taking place to embed sustainability in the work we do and the ambitions set out in our first Green Plan.
Our new Green Plan sets out how the Trust will deliver its environmental and sustainability plans over the next three years with the support of colleagues and the communities we serve. It also celebrates the excellent progress that has been made in embedding sustainability within our working practices over the past few years. The Green Plan highlights working practices that promote greater sustainability and efficiency right across our organisation, from transport and energy to utilities and waste, as part of the work we do as a large local employer and anchor institution in Lancashire and South
Cumbria.
The Green Plan is also aligned to our Single Improvement Plan, which sets out the strategic ambitions of the organisation. Long term, our Green Plan is intended to ensure that sustainability is at the centre of all decision-making and is incorporated into every department, service and policy strategy.
The Sustainability Team will also be promoting the launch of our new Green Plan at Chorley and South Ribble Hospital on Thursday 31st July from 11.30am – 1.30pm and Preston Business Centre on Tuesday 5th August from 11.30am – 1.30pm.
