Local Carers encouraged to join new forum to help shape services and share ideas

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is encouraging local carers to join their Carers Forum, which provides a chance to engage with local carers to listen to experiences and ideas in order to shape services to better suit their needs.

Carers play a vital role in supporting loved ones, yet their voices often go unheard. This forum provides an opportunity for carers to share their insights to help improve care both at home and in healthcare settings, driving real improvements across our local communities.

The Trust is inviting any local carer, whether caring for a child, adult, or older person, to join the forum. By participating, carers can connect with others and feel empowered to have their say on the services they rely on.

The forum will meet regularly to discuss topics of interest to carers andwill provide a supportive environment for carers to share personal stories, provide feedback and put forward ideas for change. . To get involved, carers can email alison.mccrudden@lthtr.nhs.uk, Colin.bowman@lancscarers.co.uk or call 07912 234577.
