What Lent means to me

imageDuring the six weeks of Lent, we continue to ask what the season means to various colleagues across the Trust. The third contribution is from Lauren Williams, Women's Health Support Secretary, who said: “In a world - and working environment! - that is always so fast paced and busy, Lent and the Easter period feels to me like a wonderful opportunity to slow down and reflect on the things most important in my life... I spend this time looking forward to the joy that I know is to come because of what the Lord Jesus did for me on the cross - how wonderful that despite how messy and broken the world we live in is, we have a God who loves us so much that He gave His only son for us!

“Easter for me is a time to reflect on the certain hope of the eternal life with Jesus in Heaven that I know is to come. Praise God for His great love for us!”
