October is Black History Month

imageBlack History Month takes place during October, with this year’s theme “Time for Change: Action Not Words". 

There are a lot of NHS organised events and meetings online to get involved in,, most of which are detailed here: https://www.nhsemployers.org/articles/black-history-month-2022

Some of the things to look out for throughout Black History Month at the Trust include: The Ethnicity Ambassador Forum next meeting on 27 October; 10 Race Equality (EDI) Champions will be identified and supported; EDI sessions covering race equality will be delivered on 14, 21, 26 and 31 October; The Canteen will be delivering culturally appropriate menus throughout the month; Race Equality books and resources are available in the libraries; The EDI intranet will be updated with useful information.
