As a result of judicious purchasing on behalf of the Trust, Martin Keeney from the Hotel Services was able to use savings from one project to purchase a Linet Multicare Critical Care Bed.
These beds are widely used in critical care units across the country, but with each costing more than £10k, currently we have only secured 8 on the unit.
We directly purchased 7 during the expansion using additional Covid monies and 1 other was donated by a relative whose family member passed away on the unit.
