Preston North End is to auction off the shirts worn and prepared for the club’s 5,000th Football League game against Derby County in aid of NHS charities.
As of 8pm on Thursday 30th July the 20 match worn shirts from the game and a further five prepared for the match, but not used, will be available to bid on, on the club’s eBay site.
The shirts are truly unique. They carry the changed ‘Never Chase Losses’ logo on the front, the special NHS logo worn during the final nine regular league games of the season and many even include the pouch where the players’ GPS units usually sit.
The shirts will be on the auction site for ten days, all ending at 8pm on Sunday 9th August, with all the money raised going to the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The 20 shirts for the players who were in the matchday squad against Derby County, on Wednesday 1st July, will have a starting price of £99.99 and the five shirts prepared for players who were not in the matchday squad will start at £49.99.
