The annual members' meeting is the trust's AGM (annual general meeting).
The trust must hold annual members’ meetings. At least one of the directors must present the trust’s annual report and accounts, and any report of the auditor on the accounts, to members at this meeting.
The meeting brings together members, governors, directors, as well as the chairman of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.
The trust's senior leaders respond to questions from trust members, patients, and the public and it is the members’ chance to make sure the council of governors, who are elected to hold the trust to account, are truly representing their interests.
