We are inviting members of the local community to our first virtual Annual Members’ Meeting.
Set to take place at 6pm on Wednesday 18th November, the Annual Members’ Meeting is an opportunity for patients, staff members and the public to find out about what has been happening at Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley and South Ribble Hospital.
At the meeting, the Trust’s directors will be sharing a review of the organisation’s 2019/20 annual report and accounts and an outline of their plans for 2020/21 and beyond.
This will be followed by a presentation from Consultant Chest Physician and Interventional Pulmonologist Dr Mohammed Munavvar on Clinical Management and Research Trials in Covid and Consultant in Respiratory Medicine Dr Aashish Vyas on Treatment of Respiratory Failure in the High Care Unit.
Karen Partington, Chief Executive at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said:
“This year’s Annual Members’ Meeting will of course be virtual, but we are embracing this change and are very much looking forward to giving a detailed update on the progress and innovations the Trust has made in the last year. I want to stress that everyone is welcome to join us and we would be delighted if we could have as many faces – new and old- with us as possible!”
The meeting will run via Microsoft Teams Live and a link to join the meeting is now available on the Trust’s website.
Everyone is welcome, and there is no need to book a place. There will also be plenty of opportunities for participants to ask questions.
