Lancashire Teaching Hospitals

Services

We provide a wide range of general hospital services to 370,000 people from the Chorley, South Ribble and Preston areas, and several specialist services to around 1.5 million people from Lancashire and South Cumbria.

It is our ambition to further expand our specialist services, and during the past few months we have been working with trusts across Lancashire and South Cumbria to develop a trauma network, including establishing the region’s major trauma centre at Royal Preston Hospital.  The trauma centre will provide the best life and limb saving treatment to patients who have experienced a major trauma.
