Oral and maxillofacial surgery treats conditions and injuries of the head, neck, face, jaws, and mouth.
A full oral and maxillofacial service is provided at Royal Preston Hospital, comprising outpatient, in-patient and day case facilities. All outpatient and day case services are delivered in purposely built accommodation. Inpatient care is provided as part of the ENT ward and the department is supported by a fully equipped maxillofacial laboratory.
At Chorley and South Ribble Hospital, a comprehensive outpatient service for adults and children is provided, together with day case treatment facilities for dento-alveolar and minor oral surgery.
The oral and maxillofacial team includes specialist surgeons, consultant orthodontists, restorative dentistry consultants and laboratory technicians.
Outpatient clinics are held daily.
