Lancashire Teaching Hospitals has emphasised their commitment to listening to the views of patients and acting on their feedback, following a recent engagement event with Healthwatch Lancashire.
The event, which was held at Royal Preston Hospital, saw Healthwatch and Trust colleagues speak to patients about their visit, including positive aspects of their experience, as well as welcoming feedback for improvement. Staff were thanked for their assistance on the day, and for their continued support of Healthwatch, who spoke to 12 patients and two relatives about their experience at the hospital.
Following the visit, Healthwatch said: “We are keen to continue working together moving forward and look forward to establishing the views of the community.
“We would also like to thank the patients that took their time to speak to representatives on the day and share their experiences.”
The patients were asked the following questions:
- How did you receive your appointment today?
- Is there anything that has gone well, and the hospital can learn from?
- How do you feel about the care you have received today at the hospital?
The Trust are working in conjunction with Healthwatch to take on board the views and observations of our patients, to help improve experiences across the hospital.
