Career History: Qualified from Manchester University in 1996. General medical training in the North West with one year at the North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Specialist medical oncology training completed at Christie Hospital Manchester. PhD thesis within a Cancer Research UK/AstraZeneca Clinical Pharmacology Fellowship investigating the use of circulating DNA to detect tumour specific mutations in the blood of patients with cancer. Currently Medical Oncologist at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and the lead for acute oncology.
