Public and Patient involvement - Dementia

The Trust is working towards making all of its areas suitable for patients who have a dementia related illness.  As part of this the first of a series of dementia consultation events have been held to gather the views of the community and carer organisations to find out how the hospital can change the environment to suit the needs of patients who have a dementia related illness.  A key point to this is ‘if we can get it right for dementia, we will meet the needs of all of our patients.’  Now the feedback has been gathered the Trust will be working towards planning changes to our environment, and in the coming months several areas will be refurbished taking into consideration the feedback we have received.
