We are one of the first places in the country to be awarded a new accreditation for our car parks.
The British Parking Association today (Tuesday 3rd November) launches the Professional in Parking Accreditation and we are one of the first in the UK to be awarded the mark for demonstrating the highest standards of professionalism in parking.
To receive the accreditation, our car parking team were assessed on nine key areas; including customer service and stakeholder relationships, safe and properly maintained parking facilities, fair pricing and easy to use payment services and continuous improvement.
We are the only place, along with one other NHS Trust, to receive this accreditation so far and today our Car Parking Services Manager, Frank Miller, is attending a special event at the House of Commons to receive the award.
We have also been awarded the Safer Parking Park Mark award for the 6th year in a row, which is a national standard for car parks that have low crime rates and measures in place to ensure the safety of people and vehicles.
Karen Partington, Chief Executive at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We are delighted to be one of the first in the country to receive this accreditation. We are committed to providing top class parking support to our patients, visitors, staff and the local community and we are continuously looking at new ways to develop. We have been working closely with the British Parking Association to set standards nationally for car parking professionalism and it is fantastic that the efforts of our car parking team have been recognised.”
The British Parking Association will now use us as a nationally recognised role-model for parking professionalism and excellence, raising levels of customer service for patients, visitors and staff and recognising the high standards that already exist.
