In another incredible show of support, local companies Railex and Brysdales have teamed up with Heaton’s Group to provide personal protective equipment (PPE) vests for NHS staff at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.
Heaton’s Group, providers of workwear and specialist PPE, have personalised the vital equipment with their in-house embellishment suite to ensure that PPE Safety Officers at the Trust are easily recognisable on-site.
Paul Shawcross, International Sales Manager at Railex, said: “Heaton’s Group are valued customers of ours, and we just knew we had to approach them to see if we could help our local NHS. They were delighted to help, and the equipment they have produced is of an incredibly high standard. The vests have been very well-received and we hope they are helpful to staff not only now, but in many years to come.”
Danny Young, Commercial Director at Heaton’s, said: “It’s a pleasure to be in a position to help the NHS staff that are helping us all to combat the virus. We produce all our personalised workwear in-house, so were able to react quickly and get the PPE out within just a few days. It’s important for businesses like us, that are continuing to trading throughout this period, to give something back to the cause and we were more than happy to do our bit.”
Karen Partington, Chief Executive at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We are extremely grateful for this thoughtful donation which we will put to very good use both now and in the future. A big thank you to everyone at Heaton’s Group, Railex and Brysdales, for coming together to support our staff during this challenging time.”
