Following voting in the recent governor elections held by LTHTR the results have been collated and verified by independent administrators the Electoral Reform Services. The Trust is pleased to announce that the following four Governors have been elected as Public Governors: Alan Morrow (re election), David Williams (re election), June McGuire (re election), and Maureen Bamber.
Additionally Tricia Calderbank has been elected (uncontested) as a Staff Governor representing Non Clinical Staff at Chorley and South Ribble Hospital and Paul Caldwell has been elected (uncontested) to represent Patient members.
All new Governors terms of office started on 1 April 2013 and will commence until 31 March 2016. The Spring/Summer edition of Trust Matters, the newsletter for Foundation Trust members will contain more information about the newly elected Governors and what they hope to achieve.
Governors are responsible for representing the views of Foundation Trust Members within their constituencies and play a key role within the Trust. The Governing Council holds the Board of Directors to account and seeks to ensure the continued success of the Trust through effective management, partnership working and maintaining NHS values and principles.
