How to find us - by car:
From the M6 motorway:
Junction 32 off the M6.
Turn left off the slip-road onto the A6 Garstang Road, heading towards Preston.
At the second major set of traffic lights turn left into Sharoe Green Lane.
The main entrance to Royal Preston Hospital is 200 yards on the right.
Car parking
Royal Preston Hospital has eight public car parks providing 497 spaces; there are also 91 spaces for disabled people.
How to find us – by local transport:
Bus service
Preston Bus Ltd operates services from the main Preston Bus Station to Royal Preston Hospital, via routes through local areas. Services required are numbers 7/19/22/23/123. Preston Bus has recently introduced onto the hospital routes buses adapted for use by disabled people to ensure easy access and exit from public transport.

Taxi service
Local taxi firms also offer a service to and from the hospital. Free-phones are available at the Preston site to make taxi bookings.
Shuttle bus service
The Trust provides a shuttle bus service between Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley and South Ribble Hospital.
Tickets can be purchased from the General Offices, which are located in the main entrances to both hospitals and are open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (except bank holidays). The price per single journey is £1.00.
The bus stops are positioned at the Gordon Hesling Block entrance at Royal Preston Hospital and the main entrance at Chorley and South Ribble Hospital.
The service is subject to available seating and the purchase of a ticket does not guarantee travel on the next available shuttle bus.

Disabled access
All entrances to the Royal Preston Hospital are accessible to wheelchair users. Within the hospital there are lifts to all wards and treatment areas. Any enquiries with regard to access should be directed to the Volunteer Information Desk on tel: 01772 716565 ext 3113.
