Our Collaborative Learning in Practice (CLIP) team have been selected as finalists for a Student Nursing Times Award. The nomination, in the category of Student Experience, reflects the innovative approach of the team in utilising clinical placements in a different way.
The programme allows a larger-than-normal group of students to be allocated to a specific placement area, and then sub allocated to “learning bays” where they undertake holistic care of a group of patients. This care is linked to a specific learning outcome: such as understanding patients’ conditions, anatomy and physiology, prescribed medications and side effects.
The winners of the Student Nursing Times Awards will be announced at a ceremony on 27th April, and we cant wait!
