It is important that members are happy with the amount of contact they have with the Trust and that they receive information that is relevant and of interest to them. On acceptance of their application form, members are asked which level of membership they would like and for details of any particular areas of interest.
There are three levels of membership from level one (lowest) to level three (highest), as detailed below:
Level one – Level one members only receive copies of Trust Matters, the members’ newsletter, and Governing Council voting information
Level two – As well as receiving the newsletters and voting information, members receive information about members’ events and can be asked to participate in occasional, mostly paper-based, consultations
Level three – In addition to receiving the information of a level two member, people at this level will be invited as appropriate to involvement opportunities in their areas of interest. This could be attending a focus group to discuss a change or improvement to a specific service
For those who want even greater opportunity to influence how services are delivered, members can stand for election to the Trust’s Governing Council, the body of people who are responsible for representing the views of the membership.
