One in three of us will get cancer at some time during our lives. Effective treatment is a major priority for the NHS but it is expensive. There is very little left over for the non-essential items that often make all the difference to patients during their treatment.
This is where the Rosemere Cancer Foundation comes in. As a registered charity (registered charity number 1131583), Rosemere aims to raise £500,000 in 2007/8 for research, patient welfare projects, additional equipment and training - not just in the Cancer Centre in Preston, but in the local Cancer Units throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria as well, providing the very best care possible for patients wherever they are treated.
