Launched in May 2007, the Incubator Appeal uses old incubators positioned inside the main entrances of Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley and South Ribble Hospital to collect loose change and unwanted foreign currency.
Since its establishment, it has raised over £20,000 for items across Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Previous purchases have included a laptop computer for patients undergoing dialysis at Royal Preston Hospital, children’s books and toys for the Dermatology Clinic and an ice machine, jointly funded by the Appeal and the Friends of Chorley Hospital, for Hazelwood Ward at Chorley and South Ribble Hospital.
Staff, patients and the public can all submit bids to the Appeal providing the suggested improvements are for the benefit of patients and visitors to the Trust.
All applications will be reviewed by the Incubator Appeal Fund Group which has been setup to manage the fund. Please complete the below form if you have a suggestion on which Department should benefit.
